Welcome to my World Race journey!
What is the World Race for me?
Briefly, the World Race is a 11-month mission trip that goes to 11 different countries around the world. We spend 1 month in each country doing whatever that community needs us to do, like caring for the children in an orphanage, planting churches, loving on women who have been rescued from human trafficking, and sharing the love and truth of Jesus.
For me, it is so much more. It's about making my life more about God and His Kingdom. I will not find satisfaction and joy by pursuing the American dream; I yearn to find my joy in following Jesus and doing whatever my Heavenly Father has called me to do. I need to know there is more to this life than just making money and making it through Monday-Friday just to get to the weekend. I cannot believe that my time on Earth is about a 9-to-5 job that I resent and only put up with so I can live a "comfortable" lifestyle. No. I will not believe that.
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy,
and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where moth and rust do not destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
—Matthew 6:19-21

Verses that have uplifted me in this decision:
I believe in God's promises that are found in His living Word written personally to each of us:
The riches of this world will not last:
Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him
to call his attention to its buildings. 'Do you see all these things?' Jesus asked.
'I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another, every one will be thrown down.'
—Matthew 24:1-2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—
His good, pleasing and perfect will.
—Romans 12:2
He loves all His children around the world and He tells us to love and help one another. He calls us to go to the nations and to be disciples. He promises to never leave us.
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations...
and surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
—Matthew 28:18, 20
Jesus said to his disciples,
"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation."
—Mark 16:15
"Come, follow me," Jesus said "and I will make you fishers of men"
—Matthew 4:19
The whole earth is full of His glory
—Isaiah 6:3
I want to love like Jesus, because no matter what lies you are told, God is love.
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves
has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because
God is love.
—1 John 4:7-8
Above all else, I need your prayers, so as you follow my journey through these blog posts, please pay attention to the prayer requests I put at the bottom of the posts. Please just talk to God on behalf of my team and myself, praise Him for what He is doing and will continue to do through us and also for our complete reliance on Him.
If you also feel led to give financially, there are two easy ways to give a tax-deductible donation: 1) click on "Support me" botton the left-hand sidebar or 2) send a check to:

These are my prayers:
• To become a light shining and reflecting God's light—His mercy, forgiveness, compassion and love.
• To follow Him daily and completely rely on His guidance to steer me through life.
• To bring Him glory in all that I do. To make His name higher, his fame greater.
• To be freed from the chains of this world, the temptations and addictions of my past and present.
• To be renewed in the Holy Spirit and feel beautiful and whole.
• To desire to know Jesus more and more, fall in love with Him and read God's Word daily.
• To allow Jesus to be the King of my heart, the Lord of my life.
Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled
to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
Let us hold unswervinglyto the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
—Hebrews 10:22-23
No one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed.
Instead, he puts it on a stand, so those who come in can see the light.
—Luke 8:16
See to it that you complete the work you have received in the Lord.
—Colossians 4:17
Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your truth, we wait for you;
your name and renown are the desires of our hearts.
—Isaiah 26:8
(Jesus speaking) "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself
and take up his cross daily and follow me."
—Luke 9:23
